This morning we had 4 PAX show up at Bruin Country in perfect F3 weather of sunny skies and 75 degrees that felt like 59 degrees and misty. One of the PAX was our friend Mini-Me from Charlotte and today is his birthday.

The Thang
Mosey to the track at Western Branch High School. The Western Branch Bruins have won 28 state championships in indoor and outdoor track and field. The school doesn’t have the best track facilities but the coaches have built a legacy of hard work and determination in the program. In honor of the Bruins track program and 28 state titles, the PAX ran 100-yard dashes. After each dash we jogged or walked to the other side of the track where a different PAX would lead the group in an exercise. The catch was that the exercise had to include 28 reps in honor of the 28 state titles. Before we started the first dash the PAX did 28 merkins at the Bruin statue. Some of the exercises between 100-yard dashes were squats, big boy sit ups, prison cell push-ups, Peter Parkers, Don Quixotes, Bobby Hurleys, little baby sit-ups, and a version of a burpee from Mini-Me. After running 9 100 yard-dashes with ten different exercises, the PAX moseyed back to the flag. The PAX circled back to help Funny car to the flag as he was having some breathing issues. Mini-Me would have given Dreamliner some competition in the 100-yard dash.
