5 PAX gathered at Bear County to honor our 41st president, George H W Bush. The workout was centered on 41.
Warmarama – 41 reps of the following exercises: Side Straddle Hops, Imperial Walkers, Don Quixote, Squats. LBCs, and Freddy Mecurys.
The Thang – Each Pax was responsible for selecting an exercise prior to a sprint or other type of run as decided by the Pax in charge for that round. However, each exercise had to include 41 reps. The distance of the run was 41 yards out and 41 yards back. Each Pax had the opportunity to select two exercises. Some of the exercises included merkins, Carolina drydocks, Sumo squats, squats, Bobby Hurley’s, mountain climbers, and a few exercises using coupons. Prior to each run Funny car read from a letter President Bush had given to a young person with ten items of advice. After the exercises the Pax moseyed about ten yards back to the flag and got on their six for a round of exercises with 41 reps each lead by each Pax.
COT – After Countaram and Namearam Funny car shared that It’s A Wonderful Life his is favorite movies and how the movie has two special messages. One message is the importance of friends as Clarence Odbody Angel Second Class wrote in his copy of Tom Sawyer that he gave to George Bailey. “Remember George, no man is a failure who has friends.” The other message is that each of us can have a positive impact on the lives of others by our simple actions in our daily lives of helping others just like George Bailey did.
