On the seventeenth anniversary of the tragic attack on the World Trade Centers, Pentagon, and American Airlines Flight 93, the PAX at DuckDuckGoose paid tribute to the loss and sacrifice that occurred on that fateful day.

2977 people were killed that day. To honor and remember them, each team of three performed 2977 reps. The workout format was Triple Check. One PAX performed rotating exercise, one PAX performed step-ups onto the flower pot, and the third PAX ran to the tree and back. Rotate on the runner. Switch exercise when completion of 200 reps. Step-ups throughout the workout to honor the first responders who climbed the World Trade Center. Total reps include step-ups and exercises. Exercises were 1) Curls with Cinder Blocks 2) Lunges 3) Merkins 4) LBCs 5) Mountain Climbers 6) Flutter Kicks 7) Overhead Claps 8) Squats 9) Crunchy Frogs 10) Burpees (switched to curls due to time).
With three minutes left in the workout, in order to complete the required number of reps, each PAX completed 90 reps of alternating 10 merkins and 10 big boy sit-ups (270 total reps per team).
Mosey to the shovel flags.
Recover. Recover.
Circle of Trust:
John 15:13 (ESV) “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends”
Seventeen years ago on 9/11, first responders went into and up the collapsing buildings saving countless lives. Civilians took back control of American Airlines Flight 93 preventing the hijackers from hitting their desired target. These heroes made the ultimate sacrifice; the greatest act of love.
Prayer requests.
Ball of Human.
