First off, thanks to Priorities, our local BB Authority, for making it clear just how dinq (delinquent) YHC is at posting this BB. Next time should be faster pending my formal upgrade. More to follow.
Anyway, here we go. Four PAX met up in the gloom around the flag at #BearCountry on Wednesday and we all (with the exception of Space Monkey) quickly regretted our choice of attire, wishing we had instead opted to go chippendale.
WARMARAMA: 20 Side Straddle Hops, 15 Imperial Walkers, 20 Shoulder Circles (10 forward, 10 backward) with all exercises IC.
THE THANG: All PAX grabbed some coupons, each choosing 20 lbs except Dreamliner who had to prove his superiority by upping it to 25 lbs in addition to his restrictor plate. With weights in hand we moseyed across the practice field to the track to regroup at the starting line.
Next was a long-range suicide style run with exercises at the end of each leg. Here’s how it worked: Run the coupon 100 yds to the next set of numbers on the track, 10 American Hammers (4 count OYO) with weights in hand. Drop the weight on the track and sprint back to the start to perform 10 burpees and a plank to regroup. Second set, sprint back to your weights and advance them to the next set of numbers (the 200 mark) and perform 10 Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes OYO (start with the weight at shoulder height, perform one shoulder press, lower the weight to waist level and do two squats lowering the weight to your feet while maintaining elbows locked) and run back to the start for 6 burpees. Continue this pattern to advance the weights to the 300 mark and do 10 Big Boy Situps with the weight on your chest, followed by 4 burpees at the start. For the final set continue to advance the weights until they are back at the start where we put it all together: 10 American Hammers, 10 HSKTs, 10 Big Boy Situps (all with the weights) followed by one last lap back the long way around for a final two burpees.
At that point, the PAX grabbed their weights one last time to mosey back to the flags for some Mary. While in transit Priorities managed to find enough breath to educate the rest of us on the true meaning of Snot Woggle and Dreamliner led us in contemplation of the continuous expansion of the universe. At the flags we shed the extra weight and performed 10 somewhat liberated American Hammers IC and 20 Box Cutters (10 each direction, no break between). After hearing Dreamliner putting forth some effort on the Box Cutters, YHC deemed the workout a success and called it for the COT.
After Counterama and Namerama we discussed Galatians 6:9 and the need for perseverence in doing good. Then no one (not even Priorities) called me out for forgetting to ball it up. Again, upgrade pending. In the meantime, I’ll be trying to recover from Dreamliner trying to kill YHC at #StinkHill.
