4 Pax “voluntarily” aided YHC in his Quad P pursuit of the elusive Scout this morning at StankHill. Warmarama was dispensed with in favor of moving right to the task at hand…
Mosey to the base of the steps for the long awaited return of Stink(Hill) BOMBS… Pax pair up and take turns completing the following as a team while the partner runs to the top of StinkHill and back:
Burpees. 50
Overhead Claps. 100
Merkins. 150
Big Boy Sit-ups. 200
Squats. 250
Mosey to the 2nd Shelter where one Pax runs to the pull-up bars to perform 10 pull-ups/chin-ups while the others perform an AMRAP of step ups (of course). With time running short, the process ended after only one round and we headed back to the flags with only one minor detour to the top of StinkHill and back via the 1st set of steps
Once back at the flag, the Pax performed a hasty Counterama/Namerama and YHC followed with
A Lesson in Patience
YHC related the following tale from yesterday’s Q-Source about the various reasons people survived 9-11 in NYC:
The head of a company survived 9/11 because he took his son to kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts. One woman was late because her alarm clock didn’t go off in time. One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident. One of them missed his bus. One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change. One’s car wouldn’t start. One couldn’t get a taxi.
One man put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid. That is why he is alive today.
Now when we are stuck in traffic, hit all the stop lights, turn back to answer a ringing telephone… All the little things that annoy and inconvenience us, we should take a deep breath, stop, and think to ourselves that maybe this is exactly where God wants us to be at this very moment.
Next time your morning seems to be going wrong , the children are slow getting dressed, you can’t seem to find the car keys, you hit every traffic light, don’t get mad or frustrated, it may be just that God is at work watching over you.
May God continue to bless us with all those annoying little things and may we remember their possible purpose…
