Archives: Abe "Vindictive" Vigoda takes down another

  • When: 20180512
  • QIC: Scully (with a much needed assist from Cowboy)
  • The PAX: Mentos, Tropicana, McGruff, Average Joe, Cowboy, 3for1, Turf n Turf, SeaWorm, Scully
  • Nine healthy and hearty ( at least at the start) Pax “enjoyed” a beautiful morning today at StinkHill.

    Warmarama
    SSH. 25. IC
    Abe Vigodas. 15*. IC
*YHC failed to complete the requisite number of reps as an unexpected back spasm brought an immediate end to his efforts. TClaps to Cowboy for leading the Pax thru the remainder of Warmarama which consisted of Flutter Kicks and and a few other exercises which YHC did not participate in and cannot recall due to all his attention being focused on relieving the pain caused by an old man exercise that has now taken down two Pax. Who knew Old Abe could be so spiteful?

    The Thang
Upon completion of Warmarama, Cowboy was kind enough to continue in my stead and lead the Pax in a mosey to Kids Cove for a Murph Dora 123 until YHC recovered enough to resume his leadership efforts.

    Murph Dora 123
Pax pair up and complete as a team:
    100 pull-ups
    200 Merkins
    300 squats
Partner 1 performs the assigned exercises in sets of 10/20/30 reps while the other team member runs the loop. Before relieving his partner, Partner 2 must perform 1 burpee following the first lap, 2 burpees following the second,… Rinse and repeat until each team’s assignments were complete.

The Thang continued with a counterclockwise mosey around the lake with the Pax doubling back at every other bench to recover the six. Only one pearl was discovered on our trip as the Pax took a brief intermission to perform 10 Derkins, 20 Dips, and 30 Step Ups (OMC) before continuing our journey to Brown’s Mound for a quick round of Elevens featuring Merkins at the Mound and Dips at one of several nearby stations.

Mosey back to the flags where the Pax held plank and performed Ring of Fire Counterama and Namerama performing 5 Merkins following their role in each event.

Realizing that many of the Pax will not be participating in the SlothHill festivities tomorrow, YHC read the following verse in honor of Mother’s Day:

    Proverbs 31:25-30
Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
