4 PAX posted this morning for a beatdown in the gloom. Due to lack of sufficient planning and foresight, YHC had to audible the entire workout. On the bright side, today honed YHCs audible skills to razor sharpness, although still not to Scully level.
Warmarama – SSH x 25 IC, Don Quixotes x 15 IC, Hillbillies x 20 IC
The Thang
First exercise was to run culdesacs and loop back to other side of lake and back to flags. 25 Merkins and 25 Squats were performed at each of the 5 culdesacs. I guess this could be considered initial training for the Reesestrong 5K the Hard Way coming up on Sept. 16th. 1.3 miles and 20 minutes later we were back to the flags.
As the PAX caught their breath, YHC explained that since we hadn’t done many Merkins yet a DORA was next up. Dreamliner pointed out that statement also applied to Squats. Partner up for 100 Merkins, 200 LBCs, 300 Squats. While one partner is doing exercise the other Bear Crawls to volleyball post and Crawl Bear back. YHC thought it would be smooth sailing once past the Merkins but the Squats were difficult also. The PAX realized, through pain, that Crawl Bear and Squats use many of the same muscle groups in the legs.
With the DORA completed there was just enough time for Dealers Choice back at the flags. American Hammers x 20, Crunchy Frogs x 20, Ski Jumps x 15, Leg Lifts x 20.
