Confusing to type but fun to complete (aka terrible). The group completed two rounds of four different exercises. For each round, the group would perform AMRAP of exercise #1 while PAX#1 ran a specified distance, performed 1 rep of exercise 1, and returned to the starting point. PAX#1 would then run again and perform 2 reps of exercise 2 and return to the starting point while the group AMRAPed exercise #2. This continued through 4 reps of exercise #4, with the running distance getting longer with each exercise. When PAX #1 finished, he joined the group and PAX #2 repeated the process. Reps continued for the group until each PAX took a turn as a runner. All PAX took a turn as the runner in each round.
Round 1: Burpees, Decline Merkins, 4-count LBCs, Squats
Round 2: Burpees, OH Press*, Curls*, Jump Squats
*Coupon exercises required the running PAX to carry their coupon with them.

COT: June 2 was the day of the great Western Branch Athletic Club U8 Rec League Championship (#GoSox) so PAX were treated to some baseball analogies.
“Every day is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday’s success or put its failures behind and start over again. That’s the way life is, with a new game every day, and that’s the way baseball is.” – Bob Feller, aka “The Heater from Van Meter”
YHC has tried to teach 7-8 year-old baseball players that mistakes happen, the key is not to let one mistake become two or three mistakes. Perseverance is key for both youth sports and our adult lives.
Romans 5:3-5: 3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
A runner must be stressed to gain endurance. Sailors must go to sea. Soldiers go to battle. For the Christian, tribulation is just part of our Christian life. We should not desire or hope for a tribulation-free Christian life.
