The Thang

Capture the flag/scavenger hunt hybrid competition.  Pax split in 2 teams, competing for back blast bragging rights.

19 exercises taped to the tee boxes across the front 9 of the disc golf course.

Teams mosey to tee box and retrieve flag with exercise name and return back to starting point to complete 30 reps.  Can’t start the reps until the 6 makes it back. The closest tee box had 4 exercises but penalty for taking the easy one was increase to 40 reps.

Exercises: SSH, plank jacks, burpees x 2, V ups, oblique V-ups, high knees, squats, American Hammer, Thriller squats, lunge, Carolina Dry Docks, Toy soldier, crunchy frog, mountain climbers x 2, big boys, world war II sit ups, diamond merkin

Team with most flags at the end wins.

Had more time at the end of game than expected so celebrated with an Indian Run with all the pax and then 2 team Indian Run.

Still time left so did some hot yoga (the weather and all of us were hot at this point, so it counts)

These were quotes from Edward Jenner.  The father of the first vaccine.  He has saved more human lives than any person in all of human history.  I find it comforting that he believed in a Divine Being and felt we all needed to be grateful to God for the gift he was able to give humanity by curing the world of smallpox.

• Team Linked in vs Team Huggies.  Who was the winner?…No one.  Both teams lost as there was cheating on number of reps on both sides.  Cheaters never win.  If you did all your reps, blame the slackers on your team.
