The Thang
Run all the way around CNU’s campus: Warwick Blvd > Princess Drew Ln > Morris Ln > Shoe Ln. Along the way, first person to come to a road/parking lot/driveway turned back to the six then kept going. At the major turns/intersections, all PAX kept turning back to pick up the six.
At Avenue of the Arts, turned to the Mariner’s Museum parking lot for 5 mins of suicides.
Return to the Circum-CNU route until arriving at the flags first PAX circling back at every light pole, then a 5 min out/5 min back mosey to wrap it up.
Theresa
Stretches courtesy of Moneyball and Wicked that YHC and most others were no adept enough to execute effectively.
COT
James 5:16 – Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.
Galatians 6:2 – Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
- YHC referenced this podcast episode about Ray Ortlund’s book The Death of Porn, in which he talks about how men can help each other way various struggles.
- The thing that jumped out to YHC (that wasn’t new, but was renewing to hear) was the importance of speaking one’s struggles, out loud, to another person. In said podcast Ortlund noted that “just saying your struggle out loud to someone else takes away some of its power.”
Kneeling Prayer
Moleskin
- Wicked showed up talking about how easy it would have been to go back to sleep. YHC one-upped him with the “my son woke up four times before 5am” story.
- This story was shortly followed on the run by another experience YHC had last night: brushing a hair off his arm–twice–only to realize it was not a hair but was in fact a small cockroach.
- Lots of possible names for this BB, including (but not limited to):
- Keeping It Tight
- Every Lit Light Pole
- Boogity Boogity Boogity
- Ultimately had to go with the Bonnie Tyler classic “Total Eclipse of the Heart” for the relevant chorus and the weird-ass music video (also the featured image).
- No vehicular collisions to report but Moneyball did almost clear YHC out pulling a Singing in the Rain routine on a light pole.
