12 PAX rode the heat wave to Stinkhill this morning. 3 of them being out of towners Quinby, Old Bay and FNG Logger. Way to EH while out of town! That’s how it’s done guys.
Warmarama – SSH x 30 IC, Don Quixotes x 20 IC, Hillbillies x 20 IC, Oblique Merkins x 20 IC.
The Thang – Lady Glittersparkle (LG) (i.e., the F3 Hampton Roads Hall of Fame) and the 3 little pigs came along to meet the out of towners. YHC attempted to break the 12 PAX into 4 groups, 1 per log, but only counted out 3 groups. After Space Monkey made YHC aware of this error, LG was thrown to the ground where the PAX completed their first 5 penalty burpees. YHC quickly split everyone into 4 groups correctly and the PAX Moseyed to the top of the stairs.
Once there every PAX without at log grabbed a rock for Rock Olympics. Rock Olympics is where one position is designated to pick the exercise for 10-20 reps then everyone rotates clockwise and next person picks. When LG is with us that position picks the exercise. It was at this point that YHC realized he had not explained the backstory of LG and the 3 little pigs and the 5 Burpee penalty if a log hits the ground so that was quickly explained. YHC usually is the one that lets LG hit the ground at the most “opportune” time during workout. But Old Bay and Quinby quickly caught on as they threw LG down for 5 penalty burpees each during Rock Olympics.
Next we moseyed in our groups to 3rd methane pole and back to the 2nd. On command you transferred log to next PAX in group. Back at the 2nd methane pole and after a quick setup was Suicides down the hill. There were 10 markers about 6 steps apart and after the 10th you ran all the way to bottom and back up. Suicides were run in the groups switching logs between PAX as necessary. TClaps to everyone on completing this! It was hot out there.
We Moseyed to the far side of Stinkhill by the playground for Frisburpee. Ultimate Frisbee rules but for every turnover both teams do burpees. Usually we start out with a 5 burpee penalty and decrease to 0 but this time we started with 3 with hopes of being able to stay at 3 the entire game. Group 1 and 2 vs 3 and 4. At this point the PAX was drained but pushed through it for a competitive game. An audible was called for the last couple minutes for straight ultimate with no turnover penalty. TClaps to groups 3 and 4 for pushing through for the W. After a quick stop at the water fountain we moseyed back to the flags.
COT – The topic was Giving It Away. YHC wanted to remind everyone the importance of EHing so we can continue to grow and give it away to the next guy. Likewise we are called to be a witness to others for Christ and to share the gospel. We should put as much effort and enthusiasm into telling others about Christ as we do EHing FNGs for F3.
2 Timothy 1:8 “Therfore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God.”
Closed it out with a couple prayer requests.
Moleskin – The month is coming to an end with the Take A Vacation challenge. There is still time to attend or Q an AO you have never been to before. Bearcountry this Wed. is still open on Q schedule!
