This morning at Ironclad was a co-Q with Funny car leading the warmarama and Circle of Trust and Gunner leading the Thang.
Warmarama exercises included side straddle hop, imperial walkers, Abe Vigodas, good mornings, arm circles, merkins, and Bobby Hurley’s.
For The Thang Gunner had the PAX continue the exercises listed on the F3 website. We are currently in the Cs. We did the exercises starting with Cinder Block Slides and ending with Copperhead Squats. Coupons were used for several exercises many of which included some variation of a burpee.
Funny car led the COT which included FNG Rick Perry who is a fraternity brother and friend of Funny car. Rick is an appraiser and lives in Newport News. He as given the F3 nickname Spore derived from his middle name, Moss.
Funny car then shared his anxiety and nervousness about his open heart surgery on Monday to replace his calcified and bicuspid aortic valve. He thanked the PAX for their support and commented that being in very good physical shape as a result of participating in F3 workouts the past two years will help him during the surgery and recovery. Funny car shared the following verses he has been referring to as he gets ready for the surgery.
Isaiah 41:10 – Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Proverbs 3:5-6 – Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Philippians 4:6 – Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
