The PAX were 15 strong for YHC’s VQ. Mumble chatter was low, but there was a call at one point to “visualize a poodle” as we powerwalked from one station to another. We ran out of coupons so several exercises had to be modified to share.
- SSH – 25
- Through the Tunnel – 15
- Arm Circles – 10 front/10 back/10 up (aka Chinooks)
- Toy Soldiers – 15
- Carolina Dry Docks – 15
Grab coupons from the deep, dark woods, mosey to Pond. Exercises were done at each quarter-way stopping point (what do we call those spots on the pond?). YHC took inspiration from the two major comic book companies for the exercise names (see below) and the reps: each exercise had 52 reps, representing the 52 parallel universes in the DC Comics world. All exercises were done OYO unless otherwise noted.
- American Hammer (IC, two sets of 26)
- Reverse Lunge
- Vacuum Cleaners (with a Partner, 52 total)
- Elf on the Shelf (with coupon, partner runs)
- Outlaw (26 one direction, then reverse)
- Upright Row (with coupon, partner runs)
- Squats (IC on Q’s count)
Mosey to return the coupons, then to the flags where PAX got on their six and we did dealer’s choice, 30 seconds of the following PAX-selected exercises (I may have forgotten a few):
- Big Boys
- Flutter Kicks
- Freddy Mercurys
- Toe Touches
- Outlaws (Snowman said to make them as big as possible)
- Mountain Climbers
Ended with a 15 count of Intentional Thinker.
Countarama, Name-arama, dispersed nicknames to FNGs, and COT:
YHC, being a pastor, couldn’t help but preach a little bit:
Psalm 133 – A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the LORD has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.
The unity brothers have living and working together is a good thing and pleasant thing (the two don’t always go hand in hand), feeding our holiness (like the oil would for Aaron, the priest) and our growth/flourishing (like the dew would for crops). Also, that unity is found in our pursuit of God.
