7 F3 Hampton Roads #WestSide #HIM took on the challenge of the IronPAX week 1 this morning in the gloom of #QuackQuackHonk. For those that have not yet risen to the challenge, there is still time to complete the workout for week 1 and post your time at www.f3greenwood.com.
Warmarama: 20x Side Straddle Hops, 10x Imperial Walkers, 10x Through the Tunnel, 10x Don Quixotes (all IC)
The Thang: Mosey to the starting line denoted by a friendly neighborhood driveway with YHC delivering instructions and final disclaimers on the way. 50 squats, 40 big boy situps, 30 merkins, 20 bonnie blairs, 10 burpees, sprint (or as close to that as you can manage) 400 meters to the cul-de-sac at the end of the street to finish round one. Rinse and repeat for 4 total rounds for time.
NMM: The PAX then tried to convince their legs to carry them back to the shovel flags at a sprint that looked suspiciously similar to a walk. Based on timing YHC shared his thoughts for COT en route.
The IronPAX challenge started as an idea out of F3 Greenwood that caught on and has spread across the nation. So much of what F3 is and does has come about that way. As members of F3 we not only have the power to be a part of these movements as followers, but we also have the power to step up, be leaders, and create our own movements. They all start as simple ideas. With that in mind, YHC encouraged all PAX to share their ideas so that they have the opportunity to take off. This is not limited to F3, but should extend to our homes, workplaces, places of worship, and the larger community around us.
Once back at the flags, we had counterama and namerama and started to disperse, but Snowman held me accountable and reminded me that we needed to close with a prayer. #TClaps Snowman! and thanks for the backup.
Good work today gentlemen! I saw a lot of maximum effort and high impact out there this morning!
Announcements: Sign up for the Speed for Need race on August 18. Stay posted for next week’s IronPAX challenge.
