Archives: Launch of #BearCountry was a Beast

  • When:
  • QIC: Dreamliner
  • The PAX: Funny Car (FNG Bill Pollard), Bluegrass (FNG Chris Deitsch), SpaceMonkey, Dreamliner
  • Four grizzly PAX demolished the launch of #BearCountry at Western Branch Middle School this morning.  Here is how it went down (for the most part).

    The Thang:

25 side straddle hops, 15 imperial walkers, 10 Mericans, 20 big boy situps (all in cadence)

Mosey to practice field for a Beast.  In the beast, the PAX sprinted 1/4 across field, completed 6 reps of designated exercise, sprinted to half way point, 6 reps, 3/4 way across, 6 reps, sprint to end of field and back to 3/4, 6 reps, 1/2 way, 6 reps, 1/4 way, 6 reps, back to start for a total of 36 reps.  Plank it up.  This was done for 6 exercises (Carolina Dry Docks, Burpees (10 count after these), big boy situps, squats, Mericans, and WWII situps).

Mosey to front a school for 11’s of derkins and dips.  This classic F3 move always brings the pain.

Mosey back to the shovel flags.

    Circle of Trust (COT):

Namerama and counterama.  YHC shared his thoughts on how each PAX could live his life with a conscience understanding of the significance of each day were are given on this Big Ball. A recent Reebok ad ( had brought this to YHC’s attention where the average number of days left for a human is illustrated to an epic montage.  The average human lives 25,915 days.  The challenge to the PAX was to live each day like 1/25,915 of his life.  Psalm 90:12 brought the point home. “So teach us to number our days, that we may present to You a heart of wisdom.”

Shoutout to Space Monkey who is making a run for the most consistent PAX (all but one workout). Priorities watch out he’s coming for you. Welcome FNGs Bluegrass (Chris Deitsch) and Funny Car (Bill Pollard).  Great work today.  F3 Hampton Roads may have found the F3 Richmond Saab equivalent.  Funny Car rolled in on his bike this morning.  At the conclusion of the workout, Funny Car asked if he could bring some guys with him next time.  The answer, a resounding YES!

YHC thanks each and every PAX that has posted or assisted during these early days of F3 Hampton Roads.  Your support makes all the difference in the world.
