Archives: Nature's Waterpark

  • When: 20170808
  • QIC: Tow Rope
  • The PAX: Dreamliner, SpaceMonkey, Airwolf, Clifford, SubMac
  • It was a great turnout despite the beautiful, rainy weather we were given. I’m not used to it being so dark for the whole workout but it made it a lot of fun, and the rain was an added bonus. Just what I needed to work this sickness out of me!

    Q:

Runarama: 2 laps around the lake w/Bearcrawl Bridge

DORA – We partnered up and traded off running to Bearcrawl Bridge and completing 100 Merkins, 200 LBCs, and 300 squats

Partner farmers carry the benches – we only did one set because my princess hands couldn’t take any more…HA

2 Sets: 10 Abyss Merkins, 10 Derkins, 10 Carolina dry docks

Ring of fire (Ring of water today): We got a good bath as the rain decided to give us everything it had when we hit our 6

Dealer’s Choice Abs (2 rounds): Thanks Clifford for throwing some burpees at us! The rain was the craziest at this point and made for the most fun I’ve had doing abs before. I couldn’t think of anything besides my eyes getting pelted out by rain so maybe that helped take my mind off of the ab pain for a moment.

COT: I bet on the rain this morning and thought that Mark 4:35-41 was quite the fitting passage of Scripture.

The disciples flipped out on Jesus when they encountered a crazy storm while out to sea and found him sleeping down in the boat. He firmly addressed their lack of faith in him and then calmed the raging waters and storm.

Though we may often feel that God is “sleeping” on us, he is aware of every circumstance in our lives. We need to place our faith in Him, knowing and trusting that He has a plan for every thing happening. We don’t have to understand it and act falsely positive, but we do need to place our faith in Jesus. He has the power to calm the storms in our lives, and even when He allows the storm to persist for longer than we’d like, we must realize that it’s ultimately for our growth and His glory.
