  • YHC was running late this morning.  No awesome excuses like having to run to go get my car this time, just plain ol’ running late.  That being said, I pulled into the parking lot right behind Triple Option to find 8 other punctual PAX (10 total) warming up under the very capable direction of Deflator.  With everyone already warmed up, I gave a hasty disclaimer during which my lack of professionalism was emphasized, and then called for 10 burpees OYO to start us off.

    One lap around the lake with 5 burpees at each swingset along the way, and the requisite bear crawl on our favorite bridge.

    Back at the flags we paired off for a DORA of 100 burpees, 200 LBCs (4-count), and 300 squats.  With the DORA complete the PAX performed a few more sets of burpees on my count until an individual total for the day reached 118 (more on that later).

    Mary consisted of 15x Crunchy Frogs, 15x Freddie Mercuries, 15x Hello Dollies, 15x Rosalitas.

    Counterama and Namerama were performed with all PAX holding high plank.  As you called your number, perform one merkin.  While stating name, name, and age hold the down position of a merkin and push back up once complete.

    COT: 118 burpees today were in honor of the 59 people who lost their lives in Las Vegas this weekend.  Each PAX did one burpee for each victim and one for the families and friends left behind who continue to suffer.  This tragedy reaches across our nation as a majority of the people present at the festival were visitors from the rest of the country.  Keep all of those hurt (physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc.) in your thoughts and prayers as they struggle to recover.

    #TClaps to Bulldog for the hard work on the DORA!  He told me at the beginning that he does not run at all so he was going to modify by walking halfway to the mark and back.  However, I definitely saw him in a determined mosey all the way out and back every trip!  Good work and way to push your boundaries!
