Archives: On This Day in Space History

  • When: 20180412
  • QIC: Screen Door
  • The PAX: Buoy, Dreamliner, Screen Door
  • Three got stronger this morning.  Here’s how it went.

Warmarama: 20x SSH, 15x Imperial Walkers, 15x Windmills, 10x shoulder circles each direction

The Thang:  On this day in history in 1961 Yuri Gagarin became the first man to orbit the Earth.  The orbit took 89 minutes, and his total space time was 108 minutes.  The PAX performed 61 merkins, 89 big boy situps, and 108 squats OYO.  On 11 April 1970 Apollo 13 was launched.  Two days later on the 13th one of the oxygen tanks exploded when the craft was approximately 200,000 miles from Earth.  The three-man crew then had to spend 90 hours in the Lunar Module which was designed for only two people.  The PAX performed 70 alternating shoulder taps (4-count), 200 LBCs (4-count), and 90 lunges (2-count) OYO.  On this day in 1981 the space shuttle Columbia became the first space shuttle to be launched.  The total space time of the craft was 54 hours and during that time it orbited the Earth 36 times.  The PAX performed 81 overhead claps, 54 leg lifts, and finished with 36 burpees OYO.

Mary:  10x Crunchy Frogs, 10x Freddy Mercuries, capital alphabets, and one round of Bolt 45s (similar to Colt 45s, but with squats rather than bicep curls; named after Usain Bolt).

COT:  Matthew 22:21: Jesus said “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”  Yes, we need to pay taxes, but we also need to remember that everything belongs to God, we are merely stewards of the things we possess.  Furthermore, not only do we owe everything to Gog, but he specifically deserves our first and best, not our leftovers and hand-me-downs.
