    The Thang

DORA: 100 merkins, 200 squats, 300 Hello Dollys with partnered PAX alternating between running and exercising.

Knock Out: Using two basketball baskets and two spike balls, we played the classic playground game of knockout. If the person behind you in line made his basket before you, you were out. After being eliminated, PAX performed 10 burpees, then squats until the end of the game.

F3 Wiffleball: PAX were divided into two teams for a game of wiffleball.

    Ground Rules:

    • Dodger was used as the bat.
    • Spike Balls were used as the ball.
    • 3 innings with two outs per half inning.
    • 4 run limit per inning per team.
    • 2 strikes equals a strike out.
    • Bases were the basketball goals.
    • Any part of the basketball goal served as a fielder (i.e., if a defender hit the backboard of first base with the ball before the runner arrived, the batter was out.).
    • Hitting the PAX with the ball counts as an out.
    • The team with an extra player provided a fielder for the other team to remove the advantage of having an extra PAX.
    • Following each batter, exercises were performed as follows:
      • If a runner was on first base, all PAX performed 10 merkins.
      • If a PAX on 2nd, 10 squats.
      • If a PAX on 3rd, 10 crab cakes.
      • If a runner had scored, 10 burpees. Burpees were stopped in the bottom of the 2nd/top of the 3rd inning due to fatigue and time remaining in the workout.

    Result: See moleskin below.

    Psalm 136

    God’s Love Is Eternal
1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
    His faithful love endures forever.
2 Give thanks to the God of gods.
    His faithful love endures forever.
3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords.
    His faithful love endures forever.
4 He alone does great wonders.
    His faithful love endures forever.
5 He made the heavens skillfully.
    His faithful love endures forever.
6 He spread the land on the waters.
    His faithful love endures forever.
7 He made the great lights:
    His faithful love endures forever.
8 the sun to rule by day,
    His faithful love endures forever.
9 the moon and stars to rule by night.
    His faithful love endures forever.
10 He struck the firstborn of the Egyptians
    His faithful love endures forever.
11 and brought Israel out from among them
    His faithful love endures forever.
12 with a strong hand and outstretched arm.
    His faithful love endures forever.
13 He divided the Red Sea
    His faithful love endures forever.
    14 and led Israel through,
    His faithful love endures forever.
15 but hurled Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea.
    His faithful love endures forever.
16 He led his people in the wilderness.
    His faithful love endures forever.
17 He struck down great kings
    His faithful love endures forever.
    18 and slaughtered famous kings—
    His faithful love endures forever.
19 Sihon king of the Amorites
    His faithful love endures forever.
20 and Og king of Bashan—
    His faithful love endures forever.
21 and gave their land as an inheritance,
    His faithful love endures forever.
22 an inheritance to Israel his servant.
    His faithful love endures forever.
23 He remembered us in our humiliation
    His faithful love endures forever.
24 and rescued us from our foes.
    His faithful love endures forever.
25 He gives food to every creature.
    His faithful love endures forever.
26 Give thanks to the God of heaven!
    His faithful love endures forever.

    Psalm 136
    • YHC talked about the message, “His faithful love endures forever,” and the proof, all of the qualifiers that precede the message. This theme is their for the entire chapter of Psalm 136. Only verses 13-17 were read during COT.

    Moleskin

    • Four PAX started the cycle: Funny Car, Priorities, YHC (Dreamliner), and Catapult (at #Ironclad).
    • During knock out, the rims were only about 8 ft so the PAX made a habit of dunking following any missed free throw.
    • During Wiffle Ball, The home team (Bing, Lawnboy, Firefly, and Dreamliner) took a commanding 6-2 early lead. With no outs and a runner on third base in the bottom of the 2nd they were about to seal the victory (due to the 4 run limit per inning and the away team only having one more at bat). The away team (Funny Car, Noah, and Priorities) intentionally walked YHC to put men on first and third. A shallow pop fly to the pitcher and a double play at third ended the inning and kept them in the game.
    • The away team then tied the game in the top of the 3rd and held the home team to 0 runs in the bottom of the 3rd to force extra innings.
    • Rules were modified due to only having a few minutes left before 0800 and the fact that ending in a tie would have been un-American. 1 out only in extra innings and all exercises were ceased. After a no score 4th, runner placed on second base at the beginning of the inning.
    • After holding the away team scoreless in the top of the 5th, the home team hit a leadoff double to right field for the walk-off victory.
