Three PAX showed up for extra credit at 0500 to tangle with the Early Bird. TowRope, Dreamliner and YHC took a nice run through the upscale Greystone development, tossing a shout out to TripleOption as we passed his community enroute back to the flags. We were met by Gunner at 0530 and the four proceeded into YHC’s Holiday Q.
Warm-o-Rama – jog in place while YHC explained Hot Chocolate. Each PAX had to Shout out “HOT HOT HOT, HOT Chocolate!” from the Polar Express one time during the workout and lead the following
H – Happy Jacks x4 (5 SSH + 2 Jump Squats), O – Outlaws X5, T – Tempo Merkins x5
All PAX successfully served it up.
Next, it was on to YHC’s customized carol entitled:
The 12 Exercises of F3 Christmas
(Each verse Begins: “On the ____ day of Christmas, F3 gave to me:)
One four count Hillbilly
Two Don Quixotes
Three Mountain Climbers
Four Carolina Drydocks
Six Side Straddle Hops
Seven Handclap Merkins
Eight American Hammers
Nine Bobby Hurleys
Ten Freddy Mercuries
Eleven World War Twosies
Twelve Alternating Shoulder Tapsies
Yes, we did it all just like the real song. It was 20 minutes of nearly nonstop exercise. PAX enjoyed shouting “5 BURRRRRRRPPEEEEEEEEESSSS!”, but perhaps not as much fun performing them repeatedly.
Next it was a Jingle Bell Run: Mosey around Eagle Harbor Lake for an “Indian Run” except the PAX in back runs to the front singing a few lines from a Christmas carol. It was truly amazing to hear no repeats after several rounds of the rotation.
Back at the flags, and as holidays are all about tradition, we paired up and did a traditional Dora except the runner ran around the nearest swing set in a candy cane route.
Name, Count, and COT performed in plank position. YHC recited Linus’s soliloquy from “Its a Charlie Brown Christmas”: “And there were in the same country shepherds, abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them! And they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, “Fear not! For, behold, I bring you tidings o great joy, which shall be to all my people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ, the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” And suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the Heavenly Host praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the Highest, and on Earth peace, and good will toward men.”
BOM (Continued prayers for Eden) and out.
NMM: PAX were great sports enduring the 12 Exercises. It was surprisingly difficult. Nice work! I wish we could have partied with more but I thoroughly enjoyed present company.
