With but four hours sleep in the bank due to a sometimes unhealthy obsession with Dodger baseball, YHC was nonetheless determined to create a strong F3 presence at RuckHill for Flag Day this morning. Unfortunately the rest of the Pax had other ideas so it was left to YHC to forge on solo.
Warmarama (Ruck Off)
10 Big Boy Sit-Ups/10 Squats… Rinse and Repeat X 10
Ruck counterclockwise around the lake (With no companions to share the Flag Day beatdown, YHC felt it was most appropriate to bring the shovel flag along on the trek) with the following pearls enroute:
Elevens of Merkins and Dips (fully rucked) with semi-sprint back and forth between Brown’s Mound and the nearest Dip Station.
10 Pull-Ups (fully rucked)
50 Big Boy Sit-Ups (ruck in front)
Completed the circuitous route with an ascent of StinkHill, a brisk trek along the length of the summit, and finally a retracing of YHC’s path back to the YMCA parking lot.
YHC failed in that COT, Counterama, and Namerama were NOT performed …and no, it was NOT because my aging brain could not remember my name. Rather, it seemed to be a pointless exercise for a solo Q. In lieu of COT, in honor of Flag Day, I’ll go ahead and post the little known 4th verse of our National Anthem:
O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand
Between their lov’d home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with vict’ry and peace may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the power that hath made and preserv’d us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto – “In God is our trust,”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
Keep giving it away men… we need the numbers!
