A little late in posting this backplast from Aug 23. 7 grizzly bears showed up #BearCountry at 5:30 am on a nice Wed morning. After a few minutes of warm-up we moseyed over to the football field at Western Branch High School, the Home of the Bruins.
With football season upon us, we incorporated football into the Q. Each PAQ took a turn being QB and center. The QB called out the exercise to perform at the other end zone after a sprint down the field. For example, for the first exercise Funny car shouted “Merkins 10 Cadence Set Go”. The center then did a long snap to the QB and everyone sprinted to the end zone and completed the exercise. Once everyone finished the exercise everyone lined on the goal line and on the QB’s command of “Set Go” sprinted back to the end zone. The QB would stop at the 20 yard line and throw the football to the center in the end zone. If the football every hit the ground then everyone did 5 burpees. I think the football hit the ground three times, two of the times due to Funny car dropping the ball (he was a soccer player in college). We ended up running 16 100 yard dashed with various exercised such as big boy sit ups, squats, burpees, and more. After everyone was good and tired we moseyed back to #BearCountry.
Circle of Trust (COT):
Funny car shared James 1: 19-21 which his pastor had shared in talking about the recent events in Charlottesville “19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.”
