Today was F3 Hampton Roads first double workout. 4 hardcore PAX posted to StankHill for their 2nd workout of the day. Whirly, F3 brother from Winston Salem being one of them. Great job guys! Funny Car joined us at Stankhill to make 5. Since Space Monkeys 50th post was at DDG, we brought Lady Glittersparkle (LG) along for 2nd workout as well as a shovel flag to plant at top of StankHill.

The Thang
Moseyed to the stairs where YHC had fun making the PAX think Everest was next before clarifying it was not part of today’s workout. Ran to top of stairs and grabbed a coupon for 2 rounds of Rock Olympics. Next we Indian Ran to next pole with flag in front and LG second. After a quick setup (i.e. placing 5 index cards at increasing distance down the hill) YHC explained the next exercise was Suicides. After the last card, run all the way to bottom and back up. This was rewarded with cheers and looks of excitement. Ok I may have made that part up. There was a quick discussion on whether to throw LG to the ground and get the 5 burpees out of the way but Whirly made the call to take her with us. As YHC finished the first round he turned to see the PAX eagerly picking up the index card markers. YHC informed them we had a second round to go stopping at 5th card instead of going to bottom of hill. Lastly, the PAX moseyed back to flags for Ring of Fire Scissor Kicks holding 6 inches and Captain Thor.
COT – Nehemiah 4:14 Last half of verse
“Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes.”
This not only speaks to our military but I also believe it speaks to each of us to hold Christ close to your heart each day and to never stop fighting. Fighting as in never stop trying and putting forth effort. That goes for everything in life. You have to fight as a Christian to stay on the right path and to continue to grow in Christ. You have to fight for your marriage to keep it strong and healthy. You have to fight at work to do your best every day and provide for your family. This even applies to small things like fighting to maintain a clean house etc. Anything worth having in life requires constant effort. The only finish lines in life are in a race and at death. So everyday fight to be a better you!
