  • Ten-Hand-Vol-Picket Ball is a mix between tennis, handball, volleyball, and picket ball. As you may have guessed, it is completely made up and the rules were rather fluid. See below for more details.

    1 lap around lake.

3 sets of until failure chin-ups. Two PAX on bars. Two PAX holding Al Gore between sets. Rotate.

Ten-Hand-Vol-Picket Ball: Played on the picket ball court with a tennis ball and your hands. Rules similar to doubles tennis. Serving rotation and scoring similar to volleyball. Play until 11. Rally scoring. On each point, all PAX complete excercise with reps equal to the point scored. For example, when one pair scored their 7th points, all PAX complete 7 reps of said excercise.

Game #1: Burpees on team 1 points and Carolina dry docks on team 2 points.
    Switch teams.
Game #2: Run from net to fence on team 1 points and Carolina dry docks on team 2 points. Running from the net to the fence 8, 9, 10, and 11 times became time consuming.

    Circle of Trust:
Story of Daniel. Daniel defied the king’s rules two times. Once by not eating the king’s food and the other by praying to God. His approach was appropriate to the level of the denial. For the food, he simply asked the attendant to test him for 10 days. If they (Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego) were not as fit as the others, he would switch to the king’s food. The test paid off. For the second, Daniel would not compromise and continued to pray to God. He was thrown in the lion’s den despite the king’s desire. YHC shared his thoughts on how we should approach situations. Does the situation call for a “test of 10 days” or is it something where we must take a stand even if we wind up in the lion’s den? Not all conflicts are “hills to die on.”
