WARM-A-RAMA: 10 x 4-count in cadence. Side Straddle Hops, Michael Phelps’, Imperial Walkers. Mosey to WBHS football stadium/track.
THE THANG: PAX ran a single lap “time trials” to separate the “Tortoises (T)” and “Hares (H).” Once identified, Ts and Hs paired up for the race. Goal is for teams to circle the track with Ts in Bear Crawl and Hs sprinting. Once H runs complete lap and catches up to his partner T, the two swap positions with the T sprinting, and the H assuming the Bear Crawl position. Teams “leapfrog” their way around the track in a Bear Crawl/sprint alternation until a single lap is completed. Gator originally intended to conduct a second lap in reverse, with Crawl Bears and backwards running, but decided that was a bad idea.
After lap, teams instead broke off for alternating 200 squat/200 merkins. PAX then completed 100-yards of “Flying Nuns” before “snaking” up/down the stadium bleachers. PAX completed LBCs while waiting on the “6” to finish.
On mosey back to flag, FNG (“Electrolyte”) fell out with cramps and was appropriately nicknamed soon thereafter.
COT conducted at the site of FNG fall out. Gator led story time with a summary of Aesop’s fable, “The Tortoise and The Hare.” Emphasis on not allowing ego and overconfidence to cloud your patient perseverance and faith in God to reveal His eternal will for your life.
